USGBC’s Emerging Green Builders Mission: To create a network of emerging green building leaders and develop opportunities for involvement through the USGBC to further generate momentum for the green building industry. I have been involved with the Emerging Green Builders (EGB) program since its inception. Thanks to Sadhu Johnston (now with the City of Chicago) and John Mlade (Perkins + Will), I was an original committee member when we formed in February 2003. Since then I have been the vice-chair (2003) and the Chair (2004) and have rolled off into a consultant position to manage the design competition and perform additional management tasks.
